ABOUT US

Our Story

You're joining us at an incredible moment, but to truly appreciate where we are now, it's always essential to reflect on where it all began.  Imago Dei actually started in 2007 when Pastors Jim and Sara Crabb returned to Cincinnati. The first meeting began in a collision center which proves that God has a sense of humor.  Today Imago Dei is led by Pastor Rontrell and Rachel Edwards. We believe that Imago Dei's best days are ahead of us. Our purpose is to love the people of Cincinnati and be a place of hope, restoration, and life for anyone who steps into our church. We wholeheartedly believe that God loves Cincinnati, He is changing our city, and that revival is breaking out in our schools, work places, and homes!

What Does Imago Dei Mean?

Imago Dei is Latin for the image of God. The name of our church serves as a reminder about our mission which is to “see people transformed into the image of Christ.” It doesn’t matter where you are on your faith journey, the power of the Spirit is trying to make us all more like Jesus in our thoughts, words, and actions.

Our Motto

Come as you are. Leave more like Jesus. All are welcomed to our church just as they are – broken, hurting, addicted, or in need of hope. We invite everyone to bring the weight of their mistakes, doubts, and insecurities. However, do not plan to stay in the condition that you came. The power of the Holy Spirit can change, heal, and fix whatever may be broken in your life.
