STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Scriptures

We believe the holy scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings and God-breathed
The Bible is the only infallible and essential record of God’s self-disclosure to mankind
The Holy Scriptures are the final authority for faith and life and are the normative rule and guide of all Christian life, practice and doctrine
(II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 5:13; John 16:10-13)

The Godhead

We believe in one living, sovereign, all-glorious God, eternally existing in three infinitely excellent and admirable persons:
* God the Father – Fountain of all-being
* God the Son – Eternally begotten, not made, without beginning, being of one essence with the Father
* God the Holy Spirit – Proceeding in the full, divine essence as a person, eternally from the Father and Son
Thus – each person in the Godhead is fully and completely God. Each is:
* Co-eternal in being
* Co-equal in power and glory
* Co-equal in attributes and perfections
(Deuteronomy. 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14)

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was the eternal Word made flesh. He became man without ceasing to be God. He was fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
Through Him all things came into being, were created and are held together. In Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily. He is the image of the invisible God. He is the only Savior for the sin of the world, having shed His blood and died on the cross as a vicarious, representative, substitutionary sacrifice.
We believe that He accomplished our redemption, justification and reconciliation. We believe that on the 3rd day He rose bodily from the grave, victorious over death. The Lord Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven and is now and forevermore exalted at the Right Hand of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills His ministry as Representative, Intercessor and Advocate.
(Acts 1:9-10; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 9:24; Romans 8:34; I John 2:1-2)
He rules as Lord over all and is the Head of His Body, the Church, and should be loved, adored, served and obeyed by all!

The Perfect Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and Son and convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He is the supernatural agent who persuades men to repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord.
This agent also regenerates and baptizes believers into the Body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption.
(John 16:8-11; II Corinthians 3:6; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 5:18)
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as the power of God for the believer’s life with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. We believe in the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit and their operation and manifestation.

Man

We believe that God made man in His own image and likeness, but through Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature and became estranged and alienated from God. Man in this condition and position with God is, of himself, unable to bring remedy.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God, brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of sin. (Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:18-19)

Water Baptism

We believe that baptism in water by immersion is a direct commandment of our Lord and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection, and is a public confession of the new believer’s faith in Christ.

Divine Healing

We believe that divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the right and privilege of all believers.

Resurrection of the Just

We believe in the return of the Lord Jesus, the blessed hope of all believers. It involves the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ (died) and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto His return.

Hell an Eternal Retribution

We believe that all those who reject Christ and do not believe on Him and make Him Lord will pay the eternal death penalty for sin, be judged at the Great White Throne of Judgment and punished with everlasting damnation in the lake of fire

Satan

We believe he exists as a fallen angel and is the real enemy of Christians and all mankind.

Marriage

We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man* and one woman* and family commitment. We promote strong family values. (*as designated by God at birth)
